About APtester

APtester (All Peripheral Tester) is a browser hardware diagnostic suite engineered to give computer users, mechanical keyboard builders, competitive gamers, and IT professionals instant access to calibration tools without installing native software.

Why We Built APtester

Traditional peripheral testing websites are frequently cluttered with intrusive pop-ups, misleading download buttons, and opaque third-party trackers. For input hardware like keyboards and microphones, uploading user input over the network creates serious security and privacy risks.

We created APtester to provide an open, transparent, and distraction-free testing environment where all calculations occur entirely inside your browser local runtime.

Core Engineering Principles

  • Client-Side Processing: All keystrokes, pointer events, display buffers, and audio streams are processed in volatile client device RAM. Diagnostic data is never uploaded to remote servers.
  • Zero Installation: Run diagnostics on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on macOS, Windows, Linux, and ChromeOS without installing drivers, browser extensions, or administrative software.
  • Transparent Boundaries: We document exactly what browser Web APIs can and cannot measure, avoiding misleading claims about hardware health or physical polling rates.
  • Multilingual Accessibility: Complete, native localized interfaces in English, Indonesian, and Spanish.
