1. Local Client-Side Diagnostic Processing

At APtester (https://aptester.site), we treat privacy as a fundamental architectural principle. All hardware testing functionality - including keyboard keystrokes, mouse button clicks, scroll wheel deltas, display frame timing, and microphone audio streams - is processed exclusively within your web browser local memory (RAM).

APtester does not record, store, log, or upload diagnostic input data to any server. When you close or refresh the browser tab, all active diagnostic state is permanently erased from volatile memory.

2. Hardware Device Permissions

Certain diagnostic tools require standard browser permissions:

  • Microphone Access: Requested only when you explicitly click "Start Microphone Test". Access is never requested automatically. The audio stream is connected directly to a client-side Web Audio AnalyserNode to calculate digital decibel levels and waveform shapes. No audio files or recordings are created or sent across the network.
  • Fullscreen Mode: The screen diagnostic tool requests standard HTML5 Fullscreen to provide an unobstructed canvas for pixel inspection. You can exit fullscreen at any time by pressing Escape or clicking the screen.

3. Advertising & Third-Party Services

To keep this diagnostic suite free and accessible worldwide, APtester displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense.

Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites on the Internet. Google use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
