1. Local Client-Side Diagnostic Processing

APtester's first-party diagnostic code processes keyboard events, mouse events, screen timing, and microphone test signals in your browser. These test signals are separate from the page-visit and advertising data described below.

Our first-party testing code does not intentionally upload raw keystrokes, pointer events, or microphone audio to an APtester server. Test state is used locally while the tool runs; your browser may separately retain preferences, and third-party services may receive page-visit or ad-related data.

2. Hardware Device Permissions

Certain diagnostic tools require standard browser permissions:

• Microphone Access: The browser asks for permission when you start a microphone test, not on page load. APtester's Web Audio analyser uses the stream locally to show an approximate level and waveform; our diagnostic code does not intentionally upload the raw audio.
• Fullscreen Mode: The screen diagnostic tool requests standard HTML5 Fullscreen to provide an unobstructed canvas for pixel inspection. You can exit fullscreen at any time by pressing Escape or clicking the screen.

3. Advertising & Third-Party Services

This site loads Google AdSense advertising code. Loading its script or an ad slot does not mean an ad was displayed in every visit.

In connection with ad serving, Google and other third parties may place or read cookies and may use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to collect, share, and use information about visits and ads. Their practices may depend on your region, browser settings, and ad settings. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

You can manage Google ad personalization in Google Ads Settings. For participating third-party vendors, see AboutAds choices. These options do not necessarily stop all advertising or service requests.

We also load a Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon for page visits and performance measurement. This is a separate service from Google advertising. Cloudflare describes its data collection; the beacon is not an APtester diagnostic-input upload.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

APtester stores the aptester-theme preference in your browser's localStorage when you change the light or dark theme. This first-party preference is distinct from cookies or other identifiers that Google and its partners may use for advertising.
